In this Customizing activity, you can specify a Date of Pay Scale Adjustment and assign it to a pay scale type. A change to basic remuneration amounts is, therefore, marked as a pay scale adjustment in the pay scale table. However, it is not the result of a pay scale increase.

The differentiation between a pay scale increase and a pay scale adjustment affects, for example, the calculation of the guarantee amount.
