SAP E-Book

As of EA-HRRXX 608 SP28, Payroll Control Center is integrated with the following core functions:

  • Delete Personnel Data (PU00) transaction
  • Delete Personnel Numbers Completely (RPUDELPN) report

When deleting data using these functions, the HR administrator can choose also to delete employee-specific data from Payroll Data Source Framework and and Payroll Control Center, if implemented, based on data lifecycle management (DLM) groups.

The DLM group is used to select a set of data that is related to Payroll Data Source Framework and Payroll Control Center. For example, the DLM group PERNR means all the data related to a personnel number in Payroll Control Center, and the DLM group TPY means all the data related to test payroll results. These two DLM groups are delivered in the standard delivery.

If you want to delete data from your customized tables, you use this Customizing activity to define new DLM groups.

The created DLM groups can be used in the following objects:

  • Delete Personnel Data (PU00) transaction
  • Delete Personnel Numbers Completely (RPUDELPN) report
  • Delete Application Data for Payroll Data Source Framework (PYD_DLM_DELETE_TOOL) report

The following data lifecycle management groups are provided in the standard delivery:

  • PERNR Employee Data
Selects all the PERNR-related data, but not related to payroll, from the following tables:
  • T (DDIC table)

  • R (Persistence RDT)

  • TPY Test Payroll Results
Selects only declustered test payroll data, including test payroll log and test payroll results for a specific employee, from the following Payroll Control Center tables:
  • P (Payroll Cluster)

  1. Define a data lifecycle management group for customized application data of Payroll Data Source Framework and Payroll Control Center. You need to define the following:
  • Group name

  • DLM Category

Specify whether this DLM group is related to personnel number or not.
  • Run Time Class in Core HR Component (SAP_HR)

Fill this field if your customized table is in SAP_HR. The run time class implements the logic for reading, or deleting if necessary, your customized data. It inherits the base runtime class CL_PYD_DLM_RT_BASE
  • Run Time Class in Add-on HR Component (EA_HR)

Fill this field if your customized table is in EA_HR. The run time class implements the logic for reading, or deleting if necessary, your customized data. It inherits the base runtime class CL_PYD_DLM_RT_BASE
  • Run Time Determination Class Name

This class determines which system you are using and accordingly which runtime class shall be used. Use this determination class DLM_DET_CLASSNAME.
  • Use Parameter Type

Define whether the data lifecycle management group uses a parameter type for filtering data. The parameter types have been defined in the Customizing activity Define Data Source Types.
  1. If you have selected the Use Parameter Type checkbox for the data lifecycle management group, assign one or more parameter types to the group.
