PYD_FRW_2 - Classify Data Sources

In this Customizing activity, you can classify data sources by combining lists of data source types with related functions or applications to customize your end-to-end payroll process

To classify a data source, you must define the data source class category, and then define the data source classes.

To define the data source class category, complete the following steps:

1. Execute the Classify Data Sources Customizing activity to open the Activity dialog box, select Define Data Source Class Category, and then click Choose to open the Data Source Class Category view.
2. Click New Entries, to open the Overview of Added Entries screen and enter a category code under the Category column and a name for your category in the Name column and save your changes. You can choose a category code from the F4 help.

To define the data source classes, complete the following steps:

1. In the Activity dialog box, select Set Up Data Source Classes and click Choose, to open the Class: Overviewview.
2. Select a class from the list and double-click to edit the class details, or click New Entries to create a new class.
3. In the Class: Overview view, select your class from the list and double-click Folderto open the Folder: Overview view.
4. Click New Entries to create a new class folder or select an entry from the list and double-click Assign Data Source Type to Folder to open the Assign Data Source Type to Folder: Overview view.
5. Click New Entriesto assign a new data source type and then save your changes.
