In this IMG activity, you define the following time independent attributes of model roster ID.

  • Time independent model roster ID
This is the time independent model roster ID. System uses this ID, to map attributes of this time independent model roster ID to attributes of time dependent model roster ID.
  • Recruitment and promotion type
Assign recruitment types and promotion types to a time independent model roster ID.
Recruitment types can be:
  • Direct recruitment, for employees hired outside the company.

  • Open competition, for employees hired through open announcement.

  • Non-Open competition, for employees hired from campus.

Promotion types can be:
  • Promotion by selection, for employees promoted based on test through internal promotion in your company.

  • Time barred promotion, for employees promoted after completion of required time gap from last promotion.

  • Reservation type
Assign reservation type to a time independent model roster ID based on following criteria:
  • Caste

  • Special Benefit

The reservation type differentiates one employee group from another and determines the benefits that apply to a particular group of employees. The reservation types can be:
  • Vertical

  • Horizontal,,

  • Region dependency,,
Define if a time independent model roster ID is applicable for specific regions of India or all regions of India.
  • Cadre Strength
Specify the total number of roster points that can be assigned to a time independent model roster ID.
  • Pay Scale information
Specify the pay scale information for a time independent model roster ID.
  • Reservation category percentage
Assign reservation percentage to each of the reservation categories maintained for a time independent model roster ID. System uses this percentage to create required number of roster points for each reservation category.
Consider a model roster MR1. For this model roster ID, you can have the following reservation percentages:
  • SC - 15 %

  • ST - 7.5 %

  • Groups
Assign groups to a model roster ID based on employee's:
  • Salary

  • Educational qualification

  • Seniority

Groups based on salary can be:
  • Group A for Salary Grade A officer

  • Group B for Salary Grade 8

  • Group C for Salary Grade 2 to Grade 7

  • Group D for Salary Grade 1

  • Region
Assign regions to time independent model roster ID. A roster is applicable only for regions assigned to it.
  • Roster point category
Assign reservation category to roster points assigned to a time independent model roster ID. You map the reservation category of an employee to the reservation category of the roster point to assign an employee to a roster point.,,

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Maintain the following details for a model roster:
  • Time independent model roster ID

  • Description for time independent model roster ID

  • Reservation type of time independent model roster ID

  • Recruitment and promotion type of time independent model roster ID

  • Region dependency of time independent model roster ID

  • Cadre strength of time independent model roster ID

  • Pay scale information of time independent model roster ID

  • L-Shaped roster indicator

  1. Save your entries.
  2. Go back to the previous screen.
  3. Select the required time independent model roster ID from the Detail ID field and maintain the following details:
  • Roster point category:

  1. Double-click Categories in Model in the Dialog Structure.
  2. Choose New Entries.
  3. Select the reservation category.
  4. Enter the reservation percentage for the category.
  5. Save your entries.
  6. Go back to the previous screen.
  • Group:

  1. Double-click Groups applicable in the Dialog Structure.
  2. Choose New Entries.
  3. Select the group ID.
  4. Save your entries.
  5. Go back to the previous screen.
  • Regions applicable:

  1. Double-click Regions applicable in the Dialog Structure.
  2. Choose New Entries.
  3. Select the region ID.
  4. Enter description of the region ID.
  5. Save your entries.
  6. Go back to the previous screen.
  • Roster points:

  1. Double-click Roster Points in the Dialog Structure.
  2. Choose New Entries.
  3. Specify the sequence number of the roster point.
  4. Select the reservation category for the sequence number.
  5. Save your entries.
  6. Go back to the previous screen.
  • Save your entries.
