In this Customizing activity, you determine how the legal entity is selected for Payroll and Reporting.

You can select one of the following options to determine selection:

• OFF - The grouping reader reads the legal entity only from the organization unit in which the person is employed.

• ON - The grouping reader selects the legal entity starting from the person object. You can assign the legal entity to any object in Organization Management that is directly or indirectly related to the person, for example, position, work center or organization unit. The default evaluation path for selecting the legal entity includes organization units and positions.

You can set the evaluation path in Customizing activity Determine Initial Parameters for Organizational Data (Concurrent Emp.).

To select the relevant grouping, choose one of the following values:

• OFF – Legal entity is determined only from the organization unit. This is default value.

• ON – Legal entity is determined from the evaluation path.
