The notification tool is a tool for assigning, distributing, and processing tasks that result from program runs in the various notification processes.
If you have activated the notification tool, the warning and error messages issued in the logs of the
program runs are automatically saved in a central task list. The messages are assigned to the subject
area of the program (area and subarea). The tool also tries to assign the tasks to a processor and an administrator group.
As the assigned processer, you can use a central access screen to display all tasks to be processed
for all subject areas, and process them from this list. You can also display an overview of all tasks for one administrator group.
In order to transfer warning messages and error messages to the central task list, the notification tool functionality must be added to the relevant programs. This means that the transfer of messages to the central task list only works for programs that have been already converted or adjusted.
The following transactions are available for using the notification tool:
- Displaying and processing open tasks (administrator)
- HRPAY00_NT_TASKOVUSR - Task list of a user
- HRPAY00_NT_TASKOVGRP - Task list of an administrator group
- HRPAY00_NT_TASKLIST - Task list with free selection
- Managing tasks, for example deletion (administrator)
- HRPAY00_NT_ADMIN - Administration program for administrators
- HRPAY00_NT_ADMBA - Enhanced administration program for administrators
Ensure that your administrators have the necessary authorizations to use the necessary transactions.
