PY_AE_P_ELIG_RULES - Define Eligibility Checking Rules
BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header data RFUMSV00 - Advance Return for Tax on Sales/PurchasesThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this Customizing activity, you define and set up the eligibility checking rules. Each rule can be formed by one or more following eligibility criteria:
- Pay scale group criteria
- Job specialty criteria
If the standard eligibility criteria cannot meet specific requirements in your organization, you can create Business Add-In (BAdI) implementations to cater to these requirements. You can access the relevant BAdI definition in Customizing for Payroll: United Arab Emirates, under BAdI: Enhancement on Eligibility Checking Rules.
You have defined the relevant eligibility criteria in Customizing for Payroll United Arab Emirates, under Public Sector -> General Settings -> Allowances and Benefits -> Eligibility Checking.
- Choose the Define Eligibility Checking Rules activity.
- Define common eligibility checking rules.
- Specify the relevant eligibility criteria for each rule.
Additional to these criteria, you can choose the Set Up Eligibility Rules activity and specify other limitations such as:
- Maximum or minimum service years
- Eligible age scope, which can be defined by upper or lower age threshold
- Personal information like nationality or gender
In the Assign Common Eligibility Rules to Salary Components activity, you can assign a common eligibility checking rules to each salary component. Thus, to receive a specific salary component, the employees must meet all the specified criteria of the corresponding eligibility checking rule in this activity.
The following examples demonstrate how you can define eligibility checking rules for new allowances by the following criteria:
- Pay scale group
- Job specialty
Pay scale group
1. In table T71D2R, create a pay scale group rule for the allowance.
2. Set up the created pay scale group rule in T71D2 by specifying the eligible pay scale types, areas, and grades.

5. In V_T7AEPBS19, set up the eligibility checking rule by specifying the service duration, age range, nationality, gender, and the created pay scale group rule.
6. In V_T7AEPBS16, link the eligibility checking rule with the created salary component.

2. In V_T7AEPBS20N, create a job specialty that is eligible for the allowance. Ensure that the created job specialty is linked to the job classification via transaction PP0.
3. In V_T7AEPBS20, link the job specialty with the created job specialty category.
