PY_GB_TPMDC_006 - Define Retrieval of Teacher Number from "Z" Field

In this optionalCustomizing activity, you define that the system retrieves an employee's Teacher Number (Department of Education and Skills (DfES) number) from a bespoke "Z" field on the Personal Details infotype (0002) during the processing of the Teachers' Pension: Monthly Data Collection (RPUTPSG0_MDC) report and the Teachers' Pension: Monthly Data Collection (RPUTPSG0_MDC_PRESELECTION) report.

The Teachers' Pension Monthly Data Collection (TP MDC) solution supports the following options for storing an employee's Teacher Number (or DfES number):

• A bespoke "Z" field (maximum 10 characters) on the Personal Details infotype (0002)

• On the Identification infotype (0185) - subtype "TN"

If you specify the technical name of the "Z" field in this Customizing activity, the system retrieves the number from the "Z" field on the Personal Details infotype (0002).

In the standard system, the field is empty.

This means that by default, the system stores the employees' Teacher Number (DfES number) on the Identification infotype (0185) using subtype "TN".

Execute this Customizing activity and enter the technical name of the "Z" field.

Note

This setting updates the System Constants (T5GPBS_ALL) table, where the entry has the following keys:

TPS DFES 01.01.1800 31.12.9999.

If this entry does not exist in your customising client, you need to move it from client 000 to your customising client. You can do that using table comparison between client 000 to your customising client.
