PY_GB_TPMDC_008 - Define Multiple LEA Numbers

In this optional Customizing activity, you define multiple Local Education Authority Numbers (lEA Numbers) for all employees that are processed in the Teachers' Pension Monthly Data Collection (TP MDC) solution. This is required during the processing of the GBTMD (Teachers' Pension: Monthly Data Collection (MDC)) payroll function, the Teachers' Pension: Monthly Data Collection (RPUTPSG0_MDC) report, and the Teachers' Pension: Monthly Data Collection (RPUTPSG0_MDC_PRESELECTION) report.

To make the assignment, you edit LEA Number/Area Code (08TLN) feature in the system.

For information about other options for maintaining LEA numbers, see Define Unique LEA Number.

In the standard system, the LEA Number feature (08TLN) return value is delivered as "blank". This means that by default, the system assumes that you use the Define Unique LEA Number Customizing activity to define a unique LEA number for all employees.

Execute this Customizing activity and perform the following steps:

1. Check that the LEA numbers you are responsible for are in the pre-delivered entries in the LEA Number table (T5GPBST_LEA).
2. Set the return value of the LEA Number/Area Code (08TLN) feature to the correct LEA number for any groups of employees that are subject to TP MDC.
