You use this Customizing activity, to edit the IE Change Date (IECHG) feature to activate new functionality for Payroll Ireland.

Currently there is one solution that can be activated:

• 001 ERN Change Solution

The new ERN change functionality QDP solution is activated by setting the return value of feature IECHG to a date after which you wish the system to automatically process the change of ERN. Activating this functionality means that whenever there is a change of the Employer Registered Number (ERN), the employee is treated as a leaver from the organization with the old ERN and a new start in the organization with the new ERN in terms of the following:

• P45 issued for old ERN

• IT0387 updated for new ERN

• P45(3) issued for new ERN

• Payroll calculation for tax

• Payroll calculation for Universal Social Charge (USC)

• Year-end reporting
