PY_QA_PS_OT_001 - Define Overtime Limits and Wage Types

In this Customizing activity, you define the limits on overtime (OT) hours for various employee groups in different days, for example working days, public holidays and so on.

In addition, you assign a wage type to each scenario so that the HR users can use it to register the employees' overtime hours in the Employee Remuneration Info (2010) infotype.

Note: When the HR users maintain overtime records, the system does not accumulate the total OT hours in a payroll period and check with the limits. The check on OT hours only takes place during the payroll calculation.

You have already defined the employee groups for overtime compensation in the Customizing activity Define Employee Groups for Overtime Compensation.

To control the overtime compensation payout, the system compares the calculated OT payment as per the maximum hours to an upper limit. For more information, see Define Upper Limit for Overtime Compensation.
