In this Customizing activity, you define the grades of the appraisal scheme used in the public sector, and the point ranges of each appraisal grade.

In the follow-up activity, you define the rules of salary increase based on appraisal grades.

An employee's appraisal points evaluated from various perspectives are recorded in the Appraisal (0025) infotype. When you run the Periodic Salary Increase (Qatar Public Sector) (HQAIPSI0) report to evaluate employees' eligibility for salary increase, the system sums up the total appraisal points and determines an appropriate appraisal grade as per point ranges defined in this activity.

SAP has provided the following standard appraisal grades, and the corresponding points for each grade:

  • Acceptable
  • Excellent
  • Very Good
  • Good

You can adjust the appraisal grades and their point ranges according to requirements in your organization.
