QAM_BCV - Configure Business Context Viewer

In Business Context Viewer (BCV), you can define query views to analyze your data and manage the queries with which the data is read.
You have activated the following business functions:
- /BCV/MAIN
- /BCV/MAIN_1
They are assigned the PFCG role SAP_BCV_ADMIN2.
In the standard system, queries and query views are delivered for Quality Issue Management (QIM).
You make the settings for Business Context Viewer in Customizing under Cross-Application Components -> Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications -> Business Context Viewer.
To use the queries supplied, ensure that the following entries are stored in Customizing for BCV under Maintain Query Cache:
Context Key | Query ID | Cache Duration |
---|---|---|
QAM_POWL | 1QAM_ISSUE_POWL_Q | |
QAM_POWL_A | 1QAM_ACTIVITY_POWL_Q | |
QAM_ISSUE | 1QAM_ISSUE_PRIORITY_LC |
Note that the Cache Duration column must remain blank for the first two queries.
You define your own queries either in Customizing for BCV under Define BCV Queries or in the Configuration Center for BCV. This Web application is available in SAP QIM under System Administration -> System Settings for Reporting.
When you define new queries, note that the search connector 1QAM_ISSUE_PRIO_LC only supplies the fields Priority, Status, and Number of Issues. To display other result fields, you must define a new search connector under Define Search Connectors. To do this, you can use the existing search queries as templates. Note that, for performance reasons, the search connector for the class CL_QAM_BCV_SIN_DS_QAM_ISSUES only provides the fields to which a meaning has been assigned. The class uses the DataSource 0QAM_ISSUES for access. You must therefore activate this DataSource in Customizing under Transfer Business Content DataSources -> APCO-QAM.
For more information, see SAP Library for SAP QIM under System Administration -> System Settings for Reporting.
