In this Customizing activity, you can change the content of the launchpads from which users of Quality Issue Management (QIM) have access to various applications, reports, and links.

In the standard system, the following launchpad instances are delivered for the QIM role:

  • ADMINISTRATION
Groups the folders that are displayed in QIM in the System Administration area. Here, users can call applications to process decision tables in BRFplus Workbench or to process codes.
  • APPLICATIONS
Groups the folders that are displayed in the Quality Issues and Quality Activities areas.
  • CONFIRMATIONS
Groups the applications that are available to users after completing the guided creation of a quality issue.
  • LINKS
Groups the links that are displayed on the homepage of QIM.
  • REPORTS
Groups the folders that are displayed in the Reports area.

The folders in the supplied launchpads are embedded into the interface in QIM in the form of Web Dynpro CHIPs of the type launchpad link list. The launchpad link lists are stored in the application configurations of the Web Dynpro applications that start with QIM_CHIP_PAGE_. The respective application configurations are part of the PFCG roles supplied.

You can embed additional applications in the launchpad link lists supplied by adding a respective entry in the launchpad folder supplied.

When you create a new folder, you must integrate it in the interface via a launchpad link list. You can do this in Customizing for the respective page in NetWeaver Business Client.

The Inactive Applications folder serves to group the applications that are available to users, but are not to be displayed. These applications are displayed in a table that the user can see when he or she changes the launchpad settings.

When you transport the launchpad, you are given two transport requests:

  • Customizing request: This contains all launchpad settings.
  • Workbench request: This contains all texts for the launchpad (folder names, link texts, and texts that are displayed in QIM under the respective links).

You can translate the texts for the launchpads with the help of the program APB_LPD_SHOW_TEXT_KEYS.
