QAM_SUBTYPES - Define Subtypes for Object Types

In this Customizing activity you can create subtypes for reference objects. This allows you to further subdivide reference objects. The subtypes for the reference object are displayed in the application in the table column Subtype.

Example

• You can make a distinction for the reference object Customer using the two subtypes ship-to party and sold-to party and assign one of the subtypes to the customer in the application.

• For the reference object material, you can create the subtype production resource/tool and assign this subtype to a material in the application.

You have defined the object types that can be used as reference objects under Quality Issue Management (QIM) -> Generic Settings for Reference Objects -> Define Object Types.

Choose the object types and specify one or more subtypes.
