QAM_VC_RC_USG - Define Quantity Codes

In this Customizing activity, you define quantity codes. Quantity codes are different types of quantities that are used in an application based on the Issue and Activity Management component.

In the standard system, default quantity codes are supplied, including:

• COM - Complaint quantity

• REF - Reference quantity

1. For each new quantity code, specify a key, a text, and a data element in which the date or time is entered in the application. You must create the data element in the object navigator.
2. Under Quantity Code Usage Restrictions, you can restrict the usage of a quantity code to a specific application, such as SAP Quality Issue Management (QIM) or to a business object, such as Issue (/IAM/ISSUE) or Activity (/IAM/ACTIVITY).

Note:

Each quantity code corresponds to an input field on the user interface. When you define a new quantity code or if you do not want to use the quantity codes provided, you must adapt the FPM UI configuration.

As soon as a code was used in the configuration, you can no longer delete it, otherwise the application that uses the configuration will abort.
