QAM_VC_REDEF - Redefine Terminology

You want to adapt the texts for the object type ITY (issue type). To do this, copy the original data element /IAM/ISSUE_TYPE that belongs to the object type issue type to the data element /ZMY/ISSUE_TYPE and enter your required texts for this object type in this copy.

Proceed as follows in the sequence of the dialog structure:

1. In the Terminology Redefinition subdialog, create the redefinition ZMY for the application Quality Issue Management (QIM). You can, for example, enter a copy of the message class /IAM/OBJECT as a new message class.
2. In the Redefinition of Object Types subdialog, enter the new data type /ZMY/ISSUE_TYPE for the object type ITY.
3. In the Redefinition of Interface Texts subdialog, enter the alias names of the original and the new interface texts.

Note: You create new interface texts with alias names as follows:

1. Call the transaction SOTR_EDIT.
2. Enter the language in which you want to create the text, and an alias name, for example, /ZMY/START_ACTIVITY.
3. Choose Create.
4. Enter the package name, the object type (for Web Dynpro configurations WDYV), and the required text. A maximum of 255 characters is available.
