QBEXT_BTE - Activation of BTE Application

In this IMG activity, you activate applications to send QM data from the material master to an EWM system in conjunction with a Quality Inspection Engine (QIE) of SAP via Business Transaction Events.

The transfer of QM data for procurement from the QM view of the material master record is triggered by the following events:

• The setting for the QM Procurement Active indicator in the material master was changed.

• The QM control key in the material master was changed.

You also need to execute the IMG activity Event Type Linkage for QM Data in Procurement so that the data is transferred in full.

If you are using an EWM system with SAP's QIE, inspection rules are created or adjusted based on the Q-info records transferred.

The data transfer is logged in transaction SLG1 in an application log:

• In the S/4HANA system for the object QLEXT, subobject QINF_CREATE_IRULE

• In the EWM system for the object QIE, subobject IRULEDISTR

To transfer QM data from procurement in the material master, you need to activate the application QBEXT:

1. Execute the activity and choose Settings -> Identification -> SAP Applications on the following screen.
2. Select the Application Active indicator for the application QBEXT.

The data transfer is performed using the report RQBAAEXT. To find out which data is transferred, see the report documentation.
