In this IMG activity, you activate an application to provide data (using Business Transaction Events) from the production order or process order in an EWM system, in conjunction with a Quality Inspection Engine (QIE), for EWM inspection planning. This data can be used in EWM for an early inspection for the goods receipt from production.

The order data is transferred for the following events:

  • The order is released
  • A deletion indicator is set for a corresponding order
  • In the case of a released order: The fields Batch, Total Quantity, Assignments to Sales Order or WBS Element, Inbound Delivery Exists, Stock Exists are changed.

With the relevant EWM system settings, an inspection document is created or adjusted based on the order data transferred if you are using an EWM system with SAP's QIE.

The data transfer is logged in transaction SLG1 in an application log:

  • In the S/4HANA system for the object QLEXT, subobject QIPP_CREATE_INSP
  • In the EWM system for the object QIE, subobject INSPECTIONDOCUMENT

You need to activate the application QBEXTP for the order data transfer:

  1. Execute the activity and choose Settings -> Identification -> SAP Applications on the following screen.
  2. Select the Application Active indicator for the application QBEXTP.

Inspection planning is called up in the EWM with the order data using the report RQBPPEXT.
