QIE_DMOD_RULE - Define Dynamic Modification Rule

In this Customizing activity, you define the dynamic modification rule. That is, you define the inspection stages and the conditions for a change in the inspection stages.

Dynamic modification is used to variably calculate the sample sizes based on the current quality level for a sequence of inspections.

Example rules are supplied by SAP. You can copy, change, or delete these rules.

1. Define:

• The technical name and the description of the dynamic modification rule

• The time when the quality level is to be updated:

- At inspection lot creation

- When the inspection decision is made

If required, you can also specify the number of days after which the inspections are again to be performed based on the initial inspection stage. This is independent of the quality level.

1. Define the number of inspection stages in each dynamic modification rule.
2. If necessary, make the following settings for each inspection stage:

• The inspection severity if you want to work with sampling schemes:

• Normal

• Tightened

• Reduced

• The inspection probability in percent:

Percent	Result
No entry or 0%	No inspection (Skip)
100%	Inspection
30%	30% of cases are determined by the random number generator and
inspected

• The initial inspection stage

Within each dynamic modification rule, you can only define one inspection stage as the initial inspection stage.

• The number of acceptances or rejections that lead to an inspection stage change and the stage to which the change takes place

• The maximum duration on one inspection stage

Note

If you define Creation of an Inspection as the time of dynamic modification in the dynamic modification rule, you always enter the same inspection stage in the column New Inspection Stage if Not OK.

You want to inspect every 3rd goods receipt for a material. To do this, make the following settings:

Two inspection stages: Inspect, Skip

Time of dynamic modification: Inspection creation
