QIE_FIND_TYPE - Define Finding Types

In this Customizing activity, you define the finding types.

You have defined the catalogs in which the findings are described under Define Catalogs.

1. Create the finding types you require.
2. For each finding type, enter the necessary data.
3. Under Attributes, define the fields that are relevant for findings of a certain finding type, that is, define the fields available to you when you create, change, or display findings. The fields must be contained in the structure QIE_TS_FIND_ATTR. If you wish to include your own fields, you must attach an append structure containing the required fields to structure QIE_TS_FIND_ATTR.
4. Under Catalogs, define the catalog that is used to describe the findings of a finding type. Select a catalog as the master catalog.
5. Under Catalog Filters, define the required catalog filters.
6. Under Define Number Ranges for Findings, define the number ranges for findings and assign the number ranges to the finding types.

The system copies the defined number ranges to this Customizing activity and displays them along with the assigned finding types.
