QIE_ITEM_TYPE - Define Item Types

In this Customizing activity, you define item types.

In Customizing for the Post Processing Framework, you have defined action profiles for printing the required data (see Check Settings in Post Processing Framework).

1. Define the required item types.
2. Assign an inspection object type to each item type.
3. Enter the required data.
4. For each item type define the properties that an item or item type should contain under Properties.
5. Under Define Number Ranges for Samples and Items, define the number ranges for items and assign the number ranges to the item types.

The system copies the defined number ranges to this Customizing activity and displays them along with the item types to which they are assigned.
