QIE_PROP_CODEM - Assign Properties

You can use the Quality Inspection Engine (CA-QIE) to carry out quality inspections in a decentralized system landscape. Other systems, known as consumer systems supply the QIE with data for this purpose. You can also forward inspections to external quality management systems (QM systems) with more extensive quality management functions. In both cases it can happen that the properties of the inspection object types may have different descriptions or names in the different systems.

In this Customizing activity, you define neutral codes for these properties and assign these codes to the relevant objects from the other systems. The system then uses the neutral codes to exchange property values between the systems.

One property that is frequently transferred by a consumer system is the material number. This is known as the product number in SAP Extended Warehouse Management systems (SAP EWM systems).
