In this Customizing activity, you can call various wizards that help you make Customizing settings for access to different systems and the object types and object categories that are available there.

The respective wizard determines automatically which logical systems are available in the QIM system and which have a valid RFC connection. For the systems you selected in the list, the wizard determines the object types and object categories that are available in the respective system.

The following wizards are available, each in two versions (one that changes the database, one for simulation purposes):

  • Configure Object Access for Reference Objects
This wizard helps you to define the system access for the QIM reference objects. The wizard settings are stored in the Customizing activity Define Object Access. The wizard settings are logged.
  • Configure Access to Quality Issues in Worklist
This wizard helps you to define the system access for quality issues that are listed in the QIM worklist. The wizard settings are stored in the Customizing activity Define Access to Quality Issues. The wizard settings are logged.
  • Configure Access to Quality Activities in Worklist
This wizard helps you to define the system access for quality activities that are listed in the QIM worklist. The wizard settings are stored in the Customizing activity Define Access to Quality Activities. The wizard settings are logged.

In the corresponding simulation mode for a wizard, you can make the same settings in each case, but Customizing is not changed. The settings are only logged so that you can detect any missing prerequisites or check that the simulation of a step was successful.

You have activated the BC Sets provided. This means the object types and object categories supplied are available in the QIM system. You can adapt the default settings if required.

You have set up the connections to the systems that you want to link with the QIM system:

  1. If you call this Customizing activity in a Customizing client, first specify the Customizing request with which your settings are to be transported.
  2. Select the wizard that you want to execute and choose Start.
  3. Using the icon to the right of the wizard entry, you can access the logs.
