QM_DEF_AUTO_TRANSFER - Transfer Defects Automatically to Notification Item

With this Business Add-In (BAdI) you define that a defect is automatically transferred to a quality notification item. You define the rules for the automatic transfer based on the data entered for the defect and the affected objects.

The BAdI is called by the standard action TRANSFER_TO_NOTIFICATION of the BO node I_DEFECT_TP (defect data).

If there is an active implementation of this BAdI, the system checks whether a particular defect is transferable or not.

For the automatic transfer the following applies:

• You cannot transfer several defects at a time with the BAdI.

• You cannot transfer the defect to an existing quality notification.

You have maintained the default mapping of quality notification type and defect category in the Customizing of Quality Management under Nonconformance Management -> Defects Recording -> Notification Type: Mapping of Defect Categories.

The quality notification is created with the notification type you set as the default for the defect category.

Import parameter: Defect data

• AFFECTED_OBJECTS

Import parameter: Affected objects already assigned to the defect

• IS_DEFECT_TRANSFERABLE

Changing parameter: Defines whether the defect can be transferred or not
