QM_POWL_COCKPIT - Set Up Side Panels for Quality Management

In Quality Management, you can use a side panel to display additional information about a QM function. In SAP NetWeaver Business Client Desktop (NWBC), the information is displayed in a separate screen area.

The following CHIPs are delivered for the side panel:

  • Top 5 defects of material
  • Top 5 defective materials by supplier
  • Top 5 defective materials of customer
  • Top 5 defective materials of plant

Note
The following additional CHIPs are also delivered:
  • Average quality score

  • Average quality score by supplier (vendor)

However, you do not need to make any Customizing settings for these CHIPs.

Authorizations for personal object worklist (POWL):

The CHIPs collect data via a query that was defined in a personal object worklist (POWL). You therefore require the following authorizations for authorization object CA_POWL:

  • Field POWL_APPID = QAM_QI_XXNO_IT_POWL
  • Field POWL_QUERY = 02
  • Field POWL_CAT = 03
  • Other fields = disallowed

Copying the technical role:

You have created a copy of the technical role SAP_BSSP_LO_SIDEPANEL. You have assigned the copy to the users that are to use the side panels.

Registration of the POWL type for application ID (role-based):

In the transaction POWL_COCKPIT, choose the setting Standard POWL and select the application QAM_QI_XXNO_IT_POWL.

Choose Register Type -> New Entries.

Assign your copy of the role SAP_BSSP_LO_SIDEPANEL to the combination of the POWL type ID QAM_QI_XXNO_IT_POWL and the application ID QAM_QI_XXNO_IT_POWL.
