SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity for the Report Quality Issue and My Quality Tasks applications, you can configure the default plant for which the quality issues (quality notifications) are reported, the catalog profile in use, and the maximum number of records displayed by the applications. You can also configure common and attachment-specific settings.

In the Customizing Define Document Types, you have defined document types for a quality management app. To define a document type, see Define Document Types.

The standard system is delivered with predefined entries. By default, the App ID Q01 refers to Report Quality Issue; Q02 refers to My Quality Tasks.

The app My Quality Tasks uses the same document storage type and attachment settings as Report Quality Issue.

For more information about fields to be configured, press F1.

  1. Double-click the app you want to configure.
Note that for My Quality Tasks, you can only specify the maximum records.
  1. Enter the plant number.
You can enter the default plant for which you want to report quality issues. The default plant is used as a fallback if another plant is not configured in the settings area of the Report Quality Issueapp.
The default plant is not applicable to quality tasks.
  1. Enter the default catalog profile.
For more information about catalog profiles, see Define Catalog Profile and Catalogs and Catalogs Profiles for Notification Type.
  1. Enter the maximum number of records to be displayed in the app.
  2. Enter a document storage type.
  3. In the Attachment Configuration folder, specify the following:
  • Category (storage)

  • File Size (in bytes)

  • Logical File Name

  • Document Type

Note that if you set the doucment storage type to GOS, you can only specify the maximum file size.
Caution:
We recommend that you set a maximum file size to restrict the size of the images that are attached to quality issues. If you set a large file size, the HTTP request that creates a quality notification in the back-end system may not be able to transmit the attached file and, therefore, the quality notification may not contain the particular attachment.
For more information about the creation of logical files, start the transactionFILE.
  1. In the Common Configuration folder, enter the notification types that you can create and process using the applications, and the notification type that should be created or processed by default.
To specify all available notification types, you can either use an asterisk "*" in the corresponding field or you can leave the table empty.
Note that for the Report Quality Issue app, you must enter at least one default notificaton type.
