QPVP_TRANSLATE_PMI - BAdI: Translate PMI Data to Inspection Characteristics

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Quality Planning (QM-PT-VP) component. You use this BAdI to create inspection plans from 3D models.

This BAdI is created under the QPVP_ES_TRANSLATE_PMI_DATA enhancement spot.

This BAdI definition uses the IF_QPVP_TRANSL_PMI_METADATA standard interface.

The following methods are defined in the BAdI:

TRANSLATE_PMI_METADATA

Using this method, you can convert product manufacturing information (PMI) from 3D models into inspection characteristic values when you create or change an inspection plan (transaction QPC1 or QPC2). The PMI metadata in the model contains measures and tolerances for the characteristics that need to be saved in the inspection plan.

GENERATE_XML_EXCEL

Using this method, you can generate a user-specific template for the Excel file by using the Export to Excel function when you create or change an inspection plan (transaction QPC1 or QPC2).

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses), see the Enh. Spot Element Definitions tab page in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).

This BAdI is designed for single use.

This BAdI is not filter-dependent.

The PMI data for the PMILW_DIM_cylindrical node could be 25##h6##<diameter>.

This BAdI implementation interprets the main values, the low values, and the high values from the PMI data by reading the value and tolerance key information.
