In this IMG activity, you create a variant of the Saving and Deleting CIF Cockpit Performance Data program. You use this variant to schedule the program as a background job.

Depending on the setting in the user profile, the CIF cockpit evaluates the performance measurements for certain intervals. You can use the Saving and Deleting CIF Cockpit Performance Data program to save these evaluations over a certain period of time. You can then have the system display the evaluations that you have saved in the CIF cockpit. The smallest evaluation interval for saving and displaying performance data is an hour.

We recommend that you schedule this program as a background job every night. If you specify the last two days as the evaluation period, you can be sure that you will not lose any evaluation data.

During each program run, the program also deletes saved data records that have reached the minimum age for deletion.

1. Specify the required SAP R/3 system. The CIF cockpit evaluates the performance measurements of the data transfer to this system.
2. Define the period of time for which the CIF cockpit is to save the performance measurements.
3. Under Queue Time, define how long the CIF cockpit is to wait for performance data from the application servers. The default value is 20 seconds.
4. Under Min. Age (Days) for Deletion, define the age from which the data records are to deleted irrevocably from the database. The default value is 300 days.
5. Save your entries as a variant under Goto-> Variants-> Save as Variant.
6. Then schedule this variant of the program as a background job. For more information, see Schedule Job.
