Container sequences bundle together pages containing applications that share coherent content. This enables you to display the elements in a container in a predefined sequence. In addition, container sequences provide a toolbar with which the user can navigate through the container elements. Graphical elements help the user to identify what pages have already been processed. The user can scroll through the pages in a container sequence.

In the following IMG activities, you can use container sequences to bundle together process steps that occur sequentially. You can also specify how they are displayed on the user interface. You can also change the container sequences delivered with the standard system to suit your requirements.

SAP delivers the following container sequences in the standard system:

  • Candidate Profile (Employee)
  • Application Wizard (Employee)
  • Candidate Profile (External Candidate)
  • Application Wizard (External Candidate)
  • Application Wizard (Unregistered Candidate)
  • Requisition
  • Job Posting
  • Application Group
  • Data Maintenance: Employee
  • Data Maintenance: External Candidate
  • Requisition (Manager Involvement)

In the following Customizing activities, you can modify the container sequences you want to use in your company to suit your requirements.

  • If necessary, define your own contexts (IMG activity: Define Context).
