SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you define and change the proficiency scales for the qualifications you use in E-Recruiting. Qualifications are stored by candidates in their resumes, for example, or specified by recruiters as job prerequisites in requisitions.
Each scale is defined by a unique numerical indicator and a scale name. In addition, proficiencies that define the possible rating levels must be specified for each scale.

  1. Specify a name and a key for each new scale. Note: Do not use the key value "0". This can lead to problems with the flexibilization of the fields on the user interface.
  2. Enter the proficiencies of the new scales. Define and name each individual proficiency. You can define a maximum of 9999 proficiencies for each scale.

Note the following when you create scales:

  • We recommend you not to define more than 20 proficiencies for each scale because the more proficiencies you define, the less meaningful they become.
  • You must create at least one proficiency for each scale.
  • To avoid data inconsistency, do not change scales that are already used. If necessary, create a new scale.
