RCF_SM59 - Create RFC Connection to Backend System
CPI1466 during Backup BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header dataThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this Customizing activity, you create the RFC connection from the front-end system to the backend system. In doing so, you create the connection such that the Remote Function Call can be executed in the backend system without having to enter an explicit password (SAP Trusted System (RFC Single Login)).
Using a Trusted System relationship enables users to access the backend system without having to log on to the backend system again.
Note
- You perform this Customizing activity in the front-end system.
- This Customizing activity is relevant only if you run the front-end system separately from the backend system.
- You must also use the Customizing activity Create RFC Connection to Front-End System in the backend system to create an RFC connection from the backend system to the front-end system.
- Create an RFC destination of type 3 (relationship to another ABAP system).
- Note
-
Note that the name of the RFC destination can have a maximum length of 10 characters only, as you need to enter this as a parameter value for the system parameter UI2BL (Customizing activity
Enter RFC Destination of Receiving Backend System).
- On the Technical Settings tab page, enter the settings for the target system.
- On the Logon & Security tab page under Security Options, specify that the target system is a Trusted System.
- Note
- For information about 'Trusting relationships between SAP systems', see SAP Library and choose SAP NetWeaver Library -> SAP NetWeaver by Key Capability -> Application Platform by Key Capability -> Platform-Wide Services -> Connectivity -> Components of SAP Communication Technology -> Classical SAP Technologies (ABAP) -> RFC -> RFC Programming in ABAP -> Maintaining Remote Destinations -> Trusted System: Trust Relationships Between SAP Systems -> Trusted/Trusting Relationships Between SAP Systems.
- Save your entries.
