In this Customizing activity, you define a reference date, validity period, and pattern for a work schedule; this is a called a work schedule rule. A work schedule rule is used to implement a period work schedule from a reference point in time.

Defining rules for work schedules is mandatory.

Work schedule rules are used within Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) plant management solutions in China.

You have defined period work schedules using the Define Period Work Schedule Customizing activity.

You are using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) functions within Plant Maintenance (PM).

You have implemented either the PM, Regular Tasks Localization Topics for China or the PM, Shift Management Localization Topics for China business function.

In this Customizing activity, you maintain the Work Schedule Rules(SFTPM3) transaction; this transaction uses the Work Schedule Rules (V_IEAM_REG_WSR) Customizing view.

  1. Start the Work Schedule Rules (SFTPM3) transaction.
  2. Enter data as follows:
  • The plant and work center

  • The work schedule rule

  • The start and end dates for the work schedule

  • A reference date for the work schedule

  • The starting date for the work schedule

  1. Save the work schedule rule.
