Classification System: Class Maintenance - New Functions

Description

All functions which are new in the area of class maintenance for Release 2.1 are described here.

Changes to the Interface

The following functions are new for Release 2.1:

  1. The catchword screen and the characteristic screen are now equipped with a scrollbar.
It is possible to scroll up and down through a list of catchwords or characteristics.
  1. In the case where an attempt is made to allocate more than one object with identical characteristic values to a class, there are two additional fields:
Check with warning Check with error message.
via which you can determine the system response. Via the field Check with warning, you can make the system display a warning if the user attempts to allocate the second object with identical characteristic values to the class. If the field Check with error message is selected, the system does not accept the entry and you must cancel the entry or enter other characteristic values.
  1. With Release 2.1, a connection exists between the classification system and the document management system. With this, it is possible to connect documents (screens, drawings, contracts, and so on) to a class to be able to better describe the objects allocated to the class.
A document screen is now available in which you can enter specifications on the document allocated to the class when connecting the classification system to the document management system. The classification menu and relevant function keys were changed so that this new screen can be accessed from other screens.
  1. Batch input function for creation of classes
An option is available to create classes by means of batch input. You find additional documentation on this topic in the classification manual.
