REL_RULE_GLE_MCA - Assign Rule to Release Steps
BAL Application Log Documentation CPI1466 during BackupThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this Customizing activity you assign a standard rule to the individual release steps of the release procedure for a release object. Processing (users, workplace, organizational units, positions, and so on) is linked to the standard rule. The system uses the standard rule to find the processors responsible and with the SAP Business Workflow forwards the release object as a work item to them for processing.
You have made the settings for the corresponding release object in the Customizing activity Assign Release Object to Release Procedure.
SAP does not supply any standard rules.
- Choose New Entries.
- Enter the required values in the following fields:
- Release Procedure
- Release Step
- Assign a standard rule to these. You have the following two options for this:
- The standard rule you are assigning is already created and you know its number.
- Enter this number.
- The standard rule you are assigning is not yet created.
- Select the corresponding line.
- Choose Create Rule...
- In the Selection of Rule Parametersdialog box, select the parameters you require for defining the standard rule.
- From this Customizing activity
- Select the corresponding line.
- Choose Display Rule.
- Choose Change.
The system displays the Responsibility Change for Rulescreen.
- From the SAP Easy Access screen
- Choose Tools → ABAP Workbench → Development → SAP Business Workflow → Definition Tools → Rules for Agent Assignment → Change.
The system displays the Maintain Rulescreen.
For more information on changing rules or standard roles, see the documentation on the SAP Business Workflowby choosing Help→ Product Assistance.
Also note the connection between the release reasons defined in the Customizing activity Assign Release Object to Release Procedure and the exact rule definition. You must ensure that the system finds a user group for each release object via the standard role or rule, and that the rules are defined in such a way that they cover all release reasons.
- Save your entries.
