In this Customizing activity, you make the following settings:

  • You enter all the data for organizations that must submit financial or any other reports to the relevant authorities.
  • You create a mapping of dimensions. The purpose of mapping is to identify the data sources from Funds Management that the system collects and then transfers to the relevant columns in the FIN 1-12 report, in the following sections that have budget dimension columns in the output:
  • Section 1: Income

  • Section 2: Spending

  • Section 3: Financial Operations - Income

  • Section 4: Financial Operations - Spending

You generate this report using the Reporting Framework program.
Note:
To generate sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, you must use a template in the Line Type field in the Set Up Data Connector for Reporting Framework Customizing activity.

If you want to make a change in the delivered settings, proceed as follows:

  • On the Reporting Organizationsscreen:
All the data that you enter on this screen will be displayed on the cover page of the reports that you generate using the reporting framework tool. If more than one company code belongs to an organization, assign all of them to the organization on the Company Codessub-screen.
  • On the FM Dimension Types screen:
Define dimension types that you use for mapping data for certain sections in the FIN 1-12 report. During mapping, you specify the source of the data (for example, fields in FM database tables) and also the target column in the report output.
  • On the Mapping Versions screen:
Define versions for mapping the dimensions for, for example, a fiscal year, or for any other value or data that enables you to identify the mapping. For each mapping version, you specify the mapping rules on the Fields Mapping and the Derivation Rules sub-screens as follows:
  • On the Fields Mapping sub-screen:

After you have defined a dimension type, assigned a mapping version to it, on this screen, you can specify the data source of the dimension and the field masking to identify which characters and from which data sources the system can collect and then transfer to the relevant field in the FIN 1-12 report output.
  • On the Derivation Rulessub-screen:

If you want to add a constant value to the FIN 1-12 report that you cannot map from any database tables in Funds Management, use this screen to specify rules for the system that determine from which sources you want the system to derive the characters of the value.
To do so, first create a separate dimension type for each constant value you want to add to the report, on the FM Dimension Types screen. The maximum character number of the value can be 30.
Enter a dimension type here for which you want to define rules. Set up the priority order of the rules for the given dimension type in the Priority field.
The characters of the constant value are collected from database tables in Funds Management based on your entries in the Commitment Item, Fund, Functional Area, Funds Center, Grant, Funded Program, Customer Field for FM Actual and Commitment Data fields. The resulted constant value that fully matches the rule is displayed in the Field Value field.

Example:
Enter a number or a character in the relevant field or you can enter special characters, such as + (any one-character value) or * (any characters).
For example, 1+3* means that the first character is 1, the second character can be any one-character value, the third character is 3 and after that any characters can follow. The maximum character number is 30.
