RETAIL_ST_TS_SEARCH - BAdI: Implementation of a Custom Product Search

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the SAP retail industry application component (LO-RFM-STO). You can use this BAdI to implement a custom search and override the default search mechanism provided by SAP.

This BAdI provides a method called SEARCH_ARTICLES that is called when search text is entered in the app. This BAdI filters out general properties related to a product ID which allows the app to maintain optimal performance. However this may produce more results than you wish to see. To reduce unwanted products from search results, you can implement BAdI: Refinement of Product Search Results (RETAIL_ST_TS_PRODUCTS_VALIDATE) to define products that should be excluded from search results, for example any products not carried at the store.
