In this IMG activity, you specify which specification types a specification must belong to so that you can use them in formula editing in the following formula views:

  • Input and Output
  • Composition
  • Ingredients
  • Nutrients
  • Your own views with specification data

Note:

The output substances in the Composition view are copied from the Input and Output view with no more checks. Therefore, you cannot make a separate setting for the subview of the output substances in the Composition view.
If you use the I/O Materials and I/O Substances views instead of the Input and Output view (see Set Up and Activate Formula Views), you have to make the settings for the I/O Substances view instead of the Input and Output view in this IMG activity.

You have created the specification types in Customizing for Specification Management under Specify Specification Types.

  1. Check which of the specification types used in your enterprise are meaningful in the various views.
  2. Assign the specification types to the relevant subviews.

This setting is only taken into account in your own views if you call the appropriate check in the screen of the relevant function group (see Define Function Group for Formula View).
