In this IMG activity, you define the versioning settings for objects used in Recipe Management:

  • You specify whether objects of a certain type (for example, recipes) can be replaced, and whether gaps and overlaps in the validity period are allowed. If no gaps or overlaps are allowed, the validity period of an object that replaces another object must start directly after the validity period of the replaced object.
  • You define whether versions and drafts can be created for objects of a subobject type (such as recipes that belong to a certain recipe type). If versions can be created, you specify whether gaps and overlaps are allowed in the validity period. If no gaps or overlaps are allowed, the validity period of a version must start directly after the validity period of the previous version.
  • You specify the number ranges for objects of the different subobject types.
  • You define how the complete keys for objects of the different subobject types are structured. To do so, you specify the:
  • Length of the simple key

  • Separator for the version number

  • Length of the version number

  • Separator for the draft number

  • Length of the draft number

Notes:

  • At present, versioning is only supported for recipes.
  • You can currently use only a period as a separator.
  • The complete key can comprise a maximum of 40 characters.
  • The length of the simple key must cover the specified number range intervals, that is, an object key must have at least the same number of characters as the number range intervals.
  • If versions or drafts are not allowed for a subobject type, you cannot enter a separator or length for the version and draft number.

You have processed the IMG activities in the Recipe section and defined the number ranges and recipe types in the following IMG activities:

Check the standard settings and adapt them to your requirements.

Important:

Never change the settings you define in this IMG activity if you have created recipes based on them. Otherwise, your data will be inconsistent.
