SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you configure all the settings that affect layouts. This includes the following activities:

  • Assigning structure layouts
  • Specifying layout definitions

Work through these steps in the above order.

You have defined the service group in the IMG activity General Settings.

SAP supplies model layouts for you to copy and further refine.

When you choose this IMG activity, enter the service group whose layouts you want to define.

Assign Structure Layouts

For each service group, you can choose different layouts to be displayed in the Workbench navigation tree.

Specify whether the layout is an outline layout and whether it is active (note: the Workbench only takes active settings into account). You can assign substructure layouts to outline layouts.

Specify Layout Definitions

Specify which is the parent object category and which are the child object categories. Define the order of the object categories that have the same parent by assigning a sequence number. You can also hide individual object categories.

Example:

You want to display the Recipe Information System as a top-level object and define it as the parent object category. The child object category is to be the recipe.
Next, you want to display the material, substance, and stage below the recipe. To do so, you define the recipe as the parent object category and the material, substance, and stage as the child object categories. You can specify the order by assigning a sequence number.

Note

The FRML_HIER (formula hierarchy) layout has been set up for the RMS service group to enable you to have a graphic formula explosion. Here, the child object category FRM is specified for the layout definition for the parent object category INFO_FRM. The assigned edge categories are implemented using the IF_RMWB_WBO~GET_WBO_CONFIG_CL method.
