SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you define trial monitor tasks.

A task represents an individual process step in a trial.

SAP provides predefined tasks. You can also create your own tasks.

To define your own tasks, you have created a customer-defined ABAP class for a task (see Create ABAP Classes for Monitor Tasks).

SAP provides the following tasks:

Name Description
PI_01 Create Planned Order
PI_01R Delete Planned Order
PI_02 Schedule Trial
PI_03 Transform Recipe
PI_03R1 Delete Master Recipe
PI_03R2 Delete Transformation History
PI_04 Create Process Order
PI_04R Delete Process Order
PI_05 Prepare Process Order Execution
PI_06 Copy Execution Results to Trial
PI_08 Display Background Processing
PI_09R Background Processing: Reset Status
PI_S_01 Explode Trial Planning
PI_S_02 Initiate Production Process
PI_S_03R Reset Recipe Transformation

XM_02

You can change the descriptions of the standard tasks.

Creating Customer-Defined Tasks

  1. For the new task, enter a suitable name from the customer namespace (Y* or Z*).
Note that customer data that is not in the customer namespace can be overwritten in the event of a release upgrade.
  2. Assign an ABAP class that you have implemented yourself (see Create ABAP Classes for Monitor Tasks).
  3. Enter a long and short description for the task.

Creating a Task Group

XM_02

You can create new task groups by copying existing task groups. You can assign a task group to a trial type in the IMG activity Define Trial Types.

SAP provides predefined task groups. You can also create your own task groups. When an existing task group is copied, the system copies all the task group settings.

XM_02

SAP provides the following task groups:

TR01 Bench Scale Trial
TR02 Pilot Plant Trial
TR03 Factory Trial
GR01 Trial Group
GR02 Pilot Plant Trial Group

GR02

You can change the descriptions of the standard task groups.

You can create new task groups by copying existing task groups:

  1. Enter a suitable name from the customer namespace (Y* or Z*).
  2. Enter a description for the task group and if you want to work with user statuses, assign a user status profile.

Task Assignment

GR02

You assign individual tasks to a task group.

GR02

In the standard system, tasks are already assigned to the standard task groups.

You can adapt the task assignments and parameters provided by SAP to meet your company requirements.

You can assign tasks to new task groups you have created.

GR02
  1. Enter a task.
  2. Define the task sequence.
  3. If required, you can hide individual tasks.
  4. If required, assign a user status to the task (from the user status profile assigned to the task group) and a context menu reference (name of a different task that is to display the current task in its context menu).
Note: If using user statuses, you can use the ABAP class CL_RMXT_TASK_ESTAT provided by SAP (generic task for setting a user status). If the only logic required is for setting a user status when a task is executed, you can use this ABAP class for customer-defined tasks. If the task is to provide more functions, you have to use an ABAP class that you have implemented yourself.

Defining Task Rules

GR02

You define task rules for a task that is assigned to a task group.

GR02

In the standard system, task rules are already created for the standard task assignments.

You can adapt the task rules provided by SAP to meet your requirements.

GR02

To create a new task rule, proceed as follows:

  1. Enter a rule number and choose a rule type.
  2. Assign an object category from status management. This specifies the object whose system/user status is to be checked by the rule.
Possible object categories:
  • TRI (Trial)

  • RCP (Recipe)

  • ORB (Process order)

  • QM1 (Quality notification)

  1. Assign a system status.
  2. Assign a user status.
  3. Specify the object relationship.
  4. If the rule is to be displayed in the monitor view as detailed information below the task, set the Display Rule indicator.

Note that within a rule, you can use a system status, a user status, or both statuses together, regardless of the purpose of the rule.
