This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used by the In-Store Merchandise and Inventory Management UI5 apps and in the SAP retail industry application component (IS-R-FIO). You can use this BAdI to activate integration with the SAP Customer Activity Repository system to get inventory visibility for the Retail Store apps.

This BAdI uses the ACTIVATE_CAR_INTEGRATION method to activate an RFC call to the SAP Customer Activity Repository by the back-end system.

Before implementing this BAdI, ensure the following:

  1. You have defined an RFC destination in Customizing for Sales and Distribution > POS Interface > Inbound > SAP Customer Activity Repository Integration.
  2. That your RFC connection is to SAP Customer Activity Repository FP02 or higher to get the most recent stock levels from the POS sales data.
