This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the implementation of the OData service Print Labels(RETAILSTORE_PRINT_LABELS_SRV) within the SAP Fiori apps for in-store merchandise and inventory management (LO-RFM-STO-FIO).
This BAdI is used to provide the functionality for the label printing. The default BAdI implementation BADI_IMPL_RTST_PL_PRINT_AS_PDF prints the labels with the Adobe Document Server.
In an on-premise system, the generated PDF form is sent to the spool, where it is printed immediately by the specified printer. The BAdIs BADI_RTST_PL_ADOBE_PDF and RFM_STORE_PRNTLABEL_LBL_MOD are used to enhance this functionality.
In a cloud system, the generated PDF form is sent to the print queue. When a local printer is connected to this print queue, the PDF is printed immediately. The BAdI RFM_STORE_PRNTLABEL_LBL_MOD is used to enhance this functionality.
