RTST_PSWT_REASN - Define Reason Codes for Tasks That Cannot Be Carried Out

You use this Customizing activity to define reasons that store associates can choose from a drop-down list to explain why they cannot perform a defined task for a specific product. This function is only relevant for tasks that are manually created in the system at the store. The reason is captured and sent to the TaskProducts table in the back-end system for analysis or further tracking.

When store associates choose a product in a task that was generated by the back-end system, they are automatically redirected to the app linked to the task for further processing and the task receives a status of 'Completed' in the Perform Store Walk-Through app. No reasons are required for such tasks.

Before you can define reasons for tasks that cannot be carried out, you must create task categories and maintain texts for them in the following Customizing activities:

• Define Main Settings for Task List Categories

• Maintain Text for Task List Categories

If a store associate is working on a manual task to restock a shelf and notices that the store is out of one of the products in this task list, they would click the 'Reject' button in the app and choose a defined reason such as 'Product not available' to explain why they are not completing the task for that product.
