In this Customizing activity, you can define alert worklist types that are used by the alert worklist in the planner's home page.

The alert worklist type specifies the alert fields that are displayed in the alert worklist and used in queries. In this Customizing activity, you also define the relationship between the alert worklist type and the relevant alert types of the alert monitor.

  1. In the Alert Worklist Type view, you specify the name and description of the alert worklist type that you want to create.
  2. In the Alert Worklist Type Fields view, you create an entry for every field that appears in the alert worklist as follows:
    1. In the Alert Worklist Type Field field, you enter the name of the field (for example the field names for location, location description, product, product description, planning version).
    2. In the Data Elementfield, you enter the data element for the field.
    3. In the Disp. Order (Display Order of Alert Worklist Fields) you specify the default order in which you want the fields to be displayed in the alert worklist.
    4. In the Chk. Cont (Alert Worklist Field Content Check) field, you specify whether you want the system to display the alert only if this field has a value.
    5. In the Sel. (Alert Worklist Field Selection-Relevant) field, you specify the way you want the system to use this field as a selection criterion in the alert worklist.
  3. In the Alert Worklist Type Mapping to Alert Object Type view, you assign alert object types to the alert worklist type.
  4. In the Alert Worklist Field Mapping to Alert Fields view, you assign alert fields to the alert worklist fields.
  5. In the Assignment to POWL Query Type view, you assign the alert worklist type to a POWL type of the personal object worklist (POWL) that you have defined in transaction POWL_TYPE.
