SAPG_0005 - Define Postal Code

With this Customizing activity, you can maintain or change the POSTAL_CODE_FORMAT for various countries in the table ADDR_PCDFORMAT.

The function module ADDR_POSTAL_CODE_CHECK checks the postal code format specified in the table ADDR_PCDFORMAT.

If the postal code format changes in a country, you can adjust the table ADDR_PCDFORMAT according to your needs.

Note:Countries in which there are special requirements for postal codes (such as Ireland) are not included in the table ADDR_PCDFORMAT.

CH(Switzerland) ANNN

PL(Poland) NN-NNN

SE(Sweden) NNN NN

Note: The country names here are only examples and are not shown in the table ADDR_PCDFORMAT. There you see only the country code and postal code.

The following values are valid in the column for the postal code:

A – letters

N – numbers

- or [blanks]
