You can use this description to activate sales area-specific entry of sales transactions in SAP CRM. You can specify which transaction types a sales person can use, and for which sales areas.

  1. You have assigned sales areas to the permitted sales document types in SAP ECC. To do so, go to Customizing in SAP ECC and choose Sales and Distribution → Sales → Sales Documents → Sales Document Header → Assign Sales Area to Sales Document Types.
  2. You have created your organizational model in SAP CRM.
  3. You have mapped the required SAP ECC sales organizations to the CRM organizational units in the organizational model.
  4. You have created the required transaction types in SAP CRM.

Perform the initial load for object DNL_SAREA_P from SAP ECC to SAP CRM.

  1. To do so, choose Architecture and Technology → Middleware → Data Exchange→ Initial Load → Start from the SAP menu.
  2. Enter the object DNL_SAREA_P and choose the source site and destination site.
  3. Choose Execute.

Result: The system has mapped the valid SAP ECC sales organizations for each sales document type to the corresponding values in SAP CRM.

You can then edit the sales organizations and distribution channels downloaded from SAP ECC as well as the assigned transaction types. To do so, choose the activity Edit Assignment of Transaction Types to Sales Areas. If the table does not contain an entry for a transaction type, the transaction type can be used for all sales areas.

If you are using CRM Mobile Sales, you have to load the transaction types to the consolidated database. To do so, perform an initial load for object CRM_DNL_TVAKZ, as described above.
