For certain transactions, flows are generated automatically as a result of a fixed link between functions and flow categories. Flow categories control how flows are processed for posting purposes (see also "flow type").
Before you can define and assign posting records for these transactions you must first assign the flow types to the corresponding flow categories.

When a loan is repaid, an outflow (debit position) is generated on the receivables account and an inflow (credit position) for the corresponding customer account. In order to make the related postings of inflows and outflows, the system needs the flow types which have to be assigned to the flow category.

You have already maintained flow types.

If you changed or added new flow types in the previous step, check if theses changes have an impact on the next table. If so, you need to make the corresponding adjustments.
The user should not normally make new entries, as the relationship between flow categories and programs/functions are defined internally in the system.

For each line make the following assignment for flow categories:

  1. Select a flow type (FTyp1). This flow type must be an 'S' (debit posting) flow.
  2. Choose a counterflow (FTyp2). This flow type must be an 'H' (credit posting) flow.
