The following SAP enhancements are available for the FI-SL application:

• GLX_MD01

Creating user exits for the validation of master data whose dimensions are affected by direct posting and other FI-SL functions.

• GLPLAN00

Creating user exits for enhanced authorization validation in planning- This allows you to define authorization validations for dimensions that are not defined in the standard system.

For example, you could define a user exit so that user JOHNSON cannot plan accounts in area '0000400000' to '0000410000'.

1. Create your enhancement

To do this, either create a new project or use an existing one.

1. Activate the project

Only then will your enhancement take effect.

In contrast to modifications, enhancements can generally be transferred between releases since they are carried out within a name range reserved for the customer rather than in the SAP original.

The exact procedure for creating enhancements is described in the "Enhancing SAP Transactions" documentation. To do this, select the Utilities -> Online manual path in the enhancement transaction.

Every enhancement is documented. You can find this documentation using the "SAP docu" pushbutton in the enhancement transaction.
