In this step, you can define the parameters for entering planned values. Before you can enter planned amounts, you must define the planning parameters. The planning parameters contain general planning information and application-specific information which is relevant for FI-SL and Profit Center Accounting.

The following constitutes planning parameters:

  • General part: The general part of the planning parameters contains planning master data, the planning parameter description, the parameter class, authorization group and planning periods. The planning parameters also contain standard input values that you can change when entering planning amounts.
  • FI-SL part: The FI-SL part of the planning parameters contains planning information relevant for the FI-SL system.

You define planning parameters on two screens:

  • General part
  • FI-SL part
  1. Maintain the parameter class, the planning periods and the currency-related and quantity-related parameters (general part).
  2. Maintain the planning set (FI-SL part).
The planning set determines which dimensions and objects are to be planned.
  1. Maintain the field group information for currency and quantity planning. If line items are to be written for the records to be planned, you must specify the appropriate document type.
